Who we are

Skin Resonance is a product of Sophie's Bureau, operated by Sophie Kazandjian (Entreprise Individuelle), based in Saint Quentin La Poterie, 30700, France. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

What we collect and why

When you purchase Skin Resonance through our Squarespace shop, Squarespace Commerce collects the information needed to process your order: your name, email address, and payment details. Payment is handled by Stripe (Squarespace's payment processor). We do not see or store your full card number.

Your email address is used to deliver your purchase (the PDF containing your app access link) and to contact you if there is a problem with your order. If you subscribe to our mailing list, your email address is also used to send occasional updates about Skin Resonance.

The Skin Resonance app itself does not collect any personal data. There are no accounts, no login, no tracking, no cookies, and no analytics within the app. Audio is generated locally in your browser. Soundscape files are streamed from a content delivery network but no identifying information is transmitted.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use your data for profiling or automated decision-making. We do not track your usage of the app.

Third-party services

The website (skinresonance.com) is hosted by Squarespace, which may set its own cookies for site functionality and analytics. Squarespace's privacy policy applies to data collected through the website. The app (app.skinresonance.com) is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect basic web analytics (page views, country of origin) at the infrastructure level, but this data is aggregated and not personally identifiable. Payments are processed by Stripe through Squarespace Commerce. Stripe's privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.

Mailing list

If you sign up for the Skin Resonance mailing list, your email address is stored by our email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us directly. We will remove your address within 48 hours of any request.

Data retention

Order records (name, email, purchase date) are retained for as long as required by French tax and accounting law, which is currently 10 years. If you contact us by email, we retain the correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your query, then delete it. Mailing list data is retained until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements), object to processing of your data, request a portable copy of your data, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Children

Skin Resonance is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify existing customers by email.

Supervisory authority

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In France, the relevant authority is the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) at cnil.fr.
